nuCamp, a manufacturer of teardrop trailers and truck campers since 2004, displays annually at outdoor RV trade shows. They came to CEI looking to create a dramatic entryway for their outdoor exhibit.
The client wanted a weather-resistant entranceway that provided high corporate identity, engaging graphics, and a sense of traffic direction when welcoming attendees at outdoor RV shows. They also wanted to handle the installation and dismantle themselves.
Members of CEI’s Sales and Design departments worked in collaboration with the nuCamp team, learning about their past experiences at outdoor shows, their products, and their brand, to brainstorm innovative, weather-resistant entryway concepts. From those conversations, our designers worked to bring the outdoor entranceway to life.
Our overall design mimicked their leaf logo icon helping with brand recognition while providing clear traffic flow into their exhibit space. We fabricated two 12’ high x 17’ wide x 6’ deep on-brand leaf-shaped structures featuring powder-coated perforated aluminum sides for weather durability and reduced wind obstruction, which is a significant issue at outdoor events. We constructed two aluminum cabinets with removable sides to enclose water ballast buckets, which keeps the exhibit stable during wind and rain, which provided approximately 72”x 30” of space for graphic information and images. In addition, nine 72” long x 12” wide louvers were built from aluminum tubing clad with ABS plastic for lightweight durability. These elements aesthetically provided a more complete structure as well as sun shade. We engineered the entryway so the client could erect and dismantle it by themselves.
“Everyone raved about the new entrance, and it was a pleasure to work with you and your team. We are thrilled with the look and feel of the entryway!”Julie McComb, Marketing Manager
