Combi Packaging Systems: Pack Expo 2024
Combi approached Communication Exhibits, Inc. (CEI) seeking a custom trade show exhibit that would effectively showcase their latest packaging automation systems in a 41’x55’ space at Pack Expo 2024.
Challenge
Debuting new automation systems and aiming to refresh their brand presence, Combi needed a custom trade show exhibit for packaging automation, not just a traditional display. They required a flexible, brand-forward environment that would stand out on a crowded show floor, featuring:
- Live machinery demonstrations
- Semi-private meeting areas
- Integrated touchscreen learning stations
- Hospitality and secure storage solutions

Our Approach
Partnering closely with Combi’s marketing and sales teams, we reviewed past show feedback and aligned on key 2024 priorities. Our focus was to elevate product storytelling, boost visitor engagement, and maximize booth ROI through smart design and technology integration.

Solution
The final design leveraged lightweight, reconfigurable aluminum extrusion frames for long-term flexibility. SEG fabric graphics, integrated LED tile wall, and hidden wire management created a clean, modern look with practical functionality. Key exhibit features included:
- A 12’x12’ BeeWrap demo area with a safety perimeter
- Interactive kiosks for deeper product exploration
- A welcoming hospitality zone with a fridge, coffee station, and coat closet
- Touchscreens and overhead displays reinforcing brand messaging
- A central video wall broadcasting high-impact motion graphics across the aisle

“We were blown away with our booth! Seeing our booth design ‘live’ was AWESOME! Kudos to your team for all their hard work!”
Jessica Imhoff, Marketing ManagerResult
Combi’s booth quickly became one of the show’s busiest destinations. The strategic design enabled their sales team to engage passersby, nurture interest, and convert high-intent buyers, helping position Combi as an industry leader in automation innovation. This project is a great example of a custom trade show exhibit for packaging automation.
