Blackwood Pet Food handcrafts their dog and cat recipes in small batches at their family-operated facility. They started as a small company but had grown into two brands, Adirondack and Blackwood. They approached CEI to create a new 20’ x 20’ booth.
As they expanded, Blackwood Pet Foods desired to have a more prominent presence at trade shows. They wanted to keep the brands separate but not have the exhibit feel divided. They needed more storage space but also wanted to keep the floor open to create better traffic flow and have a way to easily pass out samples.
Our Design, Account Management, and Sales Team met with Blackwood Pet Foods to understand their challenges, target audience, and goals before moving through the strategy and design phases. We took a collaborative approach with them to ensure the final deliverable reflected their brand and objectives.
Our solution was to create an open floor plan with a common area in the back and closet spacing in the walls. While each brand had its own area, we made sure it looked like one cohesive company. We made the exhibit tall to eliminate the need for a hanging sign while still strengthening brand awareness. We used beauty shots on the outside to entice people into the exhibit and created a mobile display bin for samples and extra product.

CEI was able to increase brand awareness and educate the Blackwood Pet Foods audience on the Blackwood and Adirondack brands.
